Scott and Christine’s Wedding Site

One more thing checked off of the list … wedding bands.  We wanted to get our rings from the same store that I got the engagement ring from (to make warranty, cleaning easier), so decided to just go there and not shop around.  Luckily, yesterday was their “trunk sale”, and were offering $50 off of each wedding band.  Yay!

Christine was amazing and picked out her ring in 10 minutes.  She came out with something totally different from what we were planning to get, but I think she made a great choice.

I, on the other hand, took a good hour to pick my ring.  I ended up having probably 15-20 rings pulled out and had to slowly pick them off one-by-one.  I finally had it narrowed down to two and picked one that I’m extremely happy with. 

Unfortunately, they both had to be special ordered, so we won’t get them for a couple of months.  I guess that is okay, since we can’t wear them anyway.  The sad part, however, is that Christine also left her engagement ring there to get it resized (I had guessed a bit big).  She’ll be ring-less for the next 2 weeks.

Last night, Christine and I had a taste test from a potential caterer.  I think we were both happy with the quality of the food and the packages.  Additional bonus is that it’s a family owned and run business.  We’re going to think about it for a little while, but we were pretty pleased.

Now that we’ve nailed down our wedding and reception, we’ve slowed down the planning a little bit.  However, we finally got around to asking all of our wedding party if they would be willing to participate, and we’re very happy that everyone agreed to be a part of our wedding.  Check the “Wedding Day” page for details.

On another note, we’re in the process of checking out caterers and our beverage provider in the next few weeks.  Hopefully we will get in a few taste testings and find some yummy food for everybody.

Next weekend, we’re also planning on trying out the Twin Cities Wedding Fair.  Looks like there will be booths for caterers, DJs, photographers, etc.  Hopefully we’ll be able to get some good ideas to make the planning easier.

We’ve added a few new pages to the site.  First, a page of photos.  It’s aptly named “photos”.  I’ll keep adding photos there as they come up.  Secondly, there is a guest book.  Sign it.

After some looking around and discussing, we have set the date and locations for our wedding!  The wedding will take place on Saturday, July 3, 2010.  The ceremony will take place at Centennial United Methodist Church in Roseville, MN with a reception following at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, MN.

Welcome, everybody, to the wedding web site for Scott and Christine.  We hope that over the next few months, we will starting filling out this site with details of the wedding for our friends and family.  We also plan on keeping this blog up to date with the most recent happenings.
